Bartlett Festival 2018: Family-friendly fun

[dropcap]Thousands[/dropcap] strolled through W.J. Freeman Park in Bartlett Friday and Saturday for the 2018 Bartlett Festival. Visitors sampled the carnival food, squealed on the carnival rides, entertained their children with balloon crafts, bought useful and pretty things at the vendors’ booths, sighed over the cars and trucks in this year’s show, sat entranced by different demonstrations, tapped toes to the live music, bounced off each other in games of knockerball, tossed beanbags at cornhole boards, raced and even took grilling to a new level with this year’s Memphis Barbecue Network-sanctioned competition, the Bartlett BBQ Fest.
