On April 9, Pack 439 from Ellendale United Methodist Church paid a visit to Station 1. They got to visit with the crew and have a tour of the station and equipment. One of the scouts, Matthew Arp, had a much more serious visit 5 years ago when he wasn’t feeling well. After being evaluated by Paramedic Sonny Harrison, now retired, Matthew was taken to LeBonheur by his parents where they were told he had a form of leukemia. Now, 5 years later, Matthew is an energetic and happy Cub Scout who is a real helper to his parents. Way to go Matthew and we hope you and the other scouts enjoyed your latest visit!
