Leaders’ Credit Union wins “Best Business”, “Best Credit Union”, & “Best Mortgage Company”
Stephen Goodin voted “Best Banker” & “Best Financial Advisor”
Leader’s Credit Union, located at 2724 Summer Oaks Dr, has been voted by our readers as the winner in three company categories, and from that location Stephen Goodin has been voted Best Banker and Best Financial advisor.
Serving West Tennessee since 1957 and located in Bartlett since 2013, the credit union is no stranger to The Bartlett Express Readers’ Choice Awards. This year marks the first time receiving “Best Business”, but 2021 marks the third year in a row they have been recognized as “Best Credit Union” & “Best Mortgage Company”, having received those designation in 2019 and 2020. The location was also recognized as “Best Banker” in 2019’s Readers’ Choice survey.
Speaking with Goodin, he said they are “glad to have been nominated and selected for such an honor. We’ve been doing a lot of work in the community and are happy to have had such an impact with people.”
One of the recent community efforts of note is the Leaders Education Foundation, which has set aside $20,000 to award to West Tennessee educators through its L.E.A.D.S. Educator Grant program. The program awards twenty $1,000 grants to area educators whose initiatives empower students to Learn, Experience, Advocate, Dream, and Serve (L.E.A.D.S.).

History:
In 1996, JMCTCU became Leaders Credit Union, to better reflect its expanded membership base which includes healthcare, communications, and education.
With over $600 Million in assets and over 55,000 members strong, Leaders continues to provide the most comprehensive products and services to its members.
Recognition:
The credit union is ranked by Callahan & Associates as being in the top 10% of the strongest credit unions in Tennessee. The independent rting agency Bauer Financial has given Leaders Credit Union multiple consecutive quarters of five-star ratings, the highest rating any financial institution can receive. Weiss Ratings gave the credit union an “A” rating, putting it in an elite category of credit unions nationwide.
In addition to multiple and multiple consecutive wins among the Bartlett Express Readers’ Choice awards, Leaders Credit Union has received recognition in similar contests in Jackson and Milan as “Best Credit Union” (Jackson Sun, 2015-2019), “Business of the Year” (Jackson Chamber of Commerce, 2018), “Best Mortgage Company” (Jackson Sun, 2018-2019), “Best Credit Union” (Milan Mirror-Exchange, 2018-2020), “Best Investment Services” (Milan Mirror-Exchange, 2020), and “Best Community Bankers” (Milan Mirror-Exchange, 2019-2020.
