Plan now for Bartlett’s Fireworks Extravaganza coming next week

We are just a couple of weeks away from the 2025 Fireworks Extravaganza.

You are invited to join us for a Star-Spangled Fireworks Extravaganza in celebration of our Nation’s Birthday. Plan to start the night with live musical entertainment featuring the Bartlett Community Concert Band and back by popular demand, Kevin and Bethany Paige, a Classic Car “Show & Shine” and concessions/food trucks. When the sun goes down the night sky will light up with a spectacular fireworks show! All activities will take place on the lawn of the Bartlett Performing Arts & Conference Center and Appling Middle School.  

Here are the details: 

-Thursday, July 3, 

from 6-9:30pm

-fireworks show starts at 9:10

-Bobby K. Flaherty Municipal Center (Highway 70 & Appling Road)

-6:00 PM Opening Ceremony, will include the Posting of the Colors by the Bartlett Police and Fire Departments Honor Guard, the National Anthem featuring the Bartlett Community Concert Band and David Skelton and the Pledge Allegiance of the United States.

-6:15 PM Bartlett Community Concert Band

-7:15 PM Mayor David Parsons will welcome everyone, Recognize the elected officials and the Servicemen and women, Veterans and their families that are in attendance.

-7:45 PM Kevin and Bethany Paige 

-9:10 PM Fireworks! (20 minute show)

If you would like to have your Classic, Antique or Vintage (2002 and older) vehicle be a part of the “Show & Shine,” parking passes will be available in the office of Community Relations located inside The Venue at Bartlett Station  between the hours of 9am – 4pm,  June 16 – July 1, 2025.  Space is limited, Only a total of 60 passes will be given out.  Entertainment sponsored by First South Financial.

Food Vendors open at 5:30 PM. 

There will be TWO LOCATIONS for Food Vendors – Along Flaherty Place and in the parking lot of Appling Middle School 

2025 Food Vendors:  Bartlett Coffee, Collin’s Food the Fresh Way, Dipsticle Artisan Gelato Cafe, Got Munchies, Kona Ice of East Memphis, Mempops, The Food Genre, Yancey’s Smoking Good Food, EZ’s Water Ice, Grandberry’s Concessions, Barefruit Cafe and Donna’s Kettle Corn. 

Street Closing: Appling Road between Southern Way and Flaherty Place will start closing to traffic at 1:00 p.m. to put up a temporary safety lane inside the event area.  Please make plans to use Germantown Road to connect from Highway 64 (Stage Road) to Highway 70 (Summer Avenue). Appling Lake Drive will be closed to thru traffic.

Handicap Parking: Will be in the parking lot of the Bartlett Performing Arts & Conference Center (you will need to enter from Highway 70/Summer to get into the lot) 

Parking: will be available in the parking lot of the Bartlett Y, the backlot at Appling Middle School and the soccer field behind the Bartlett Y. All these lots fill up fast and are located inside the Bobby K. Flaherty Municipal Center. Parking is not allowed on Highway 70.

Please be patient and let our officers do their job getting everyone out of the area as safe and fast as they can after the event. NO PARKING on Highway 70

BARTLETT FIREWORKS POST-EVENT TRAFFIC FLOW

When the fireworks event concludes, all traffic exiting the inner perimeter of the event will be sent northbound on Appling Road to Highway 70. All traffic at this intersection will have to go either eastbound or westbound on Highway 70. There will be no traffic allowed to go north on Appling Road north of the highway. The traffic that is directed to go westbound on Highway 70 will be able to use Yale Road to reach any destinations on the east or west side of the city. The traffic that is directed eastbound can use either Memphis-Arlington Road or Germantown Road to reach destinations on the east or west side of the city. All traffic exiting the private lots along Highway 70 will be required to make a right turn out of their respective lots. This includes Baby Jack’s, Dollar General, Stewart Brothers, Fred’s, and Kroger lots. The traffic exiting these lots can use Memphis-Arlington, Germantown Road, Broadway, and Yale Road to reach their desired destinations after this detour. Please see the attached map for further details. Our goal is to have the safest and most efficient flow of traffic possible at the conclusion of this event.
