Two free sessions of Music by the Lake are coming to the south lawn of the Bartlett Performing Arts and Conference Center.

On Friday, May 20, bluegrass band River Bluff Clan and singer/songwriter Tony Manard & his Big Ole Band will perform. The May 20 show runs from 6-9 p.m.

If it rains, the concert will be moved inside the performing arts center at 3663 Appling Road.

On Friday, June 10, the bands Rock the Boat and Formerly Known As will perform on the south lawn beside Appling Lake.

Rock the Boat plays on cruise ships and features popular music from the 1970s to the 2000s, such as the Doobie Brothers and Eric Clapton. Formerly Known As also plays popular hits everyone will be familiar with. The June 10 show runs from 6-9 p.m.

Patrons can bring lawn chairs, blankets and picnic baskets, but alcohol is not allowed on city property. There will be food vendors on site.

BPACC will announce next season’s lineup of performances at the second Music by the Lake concert on June 10. Tickets for the 2022-2023 season will go on sale July 20 at 10 a.m.

Memphis Record Pressing and the City of Bartlett are sponsoring the Music by the Lake concerts.
