John McEuen and Rodney Dillard at BPACC Saturday

Staff Reports

The Bartlett Performing Arts Center presents the legendary John McEuen at BPACC on  November 16th at 7:30PM. Joined on stage by the infamous RODNEY DILLARD, two old  friends go over their musical lives that have touched so many. John McEuen, who, with Nitty  Gritty Dirt Band, (banjo, guitar, mandolin, fiddle, and lap steel), is a founding member of the  Nitty Gritty Dirt Band. His music was greatly influenced by early mentoring from Rodney  Dillard. John saw The Dillards when they first played Los Angeles’ Paradox Club. McEuen  says proudly that “without Rodney, I would not have learned the banjo, and there would not  have been a ‘Circle be Unbroken’ album!” John received the Josie Lifetime Achievement  Award at the Grand Ole Opry in October – 2024.

With footage of early NGDB, the Will the Circle Be Unbroken recording and the historic  NGDB Russian trip photos behind John and Rodney running as they perform in front of it,  come hear about those “L.A. ‘60’s and ‘70’s daze”. Find out how these two icons plied their  wares across the world… and it worked!

Joining John will be joined on-stage with Justin David (guitar/fiddle), Mike Bub (bass), Danny  Knicely (guitar, mandolin) and Becky Buller (fiddle)
