For Bartlett residents curious about drop off spots/ donations for storm victims, Bombshell Motorcycle Service and Dart Services, located at 5798 Ferguson Rd., Bartlett, is filling their Trailer for the Victims of East Tennessee, West North Carolina and West South Carolina who were affected by Hurricane Helene. They have a direct contact to get all donations straight to the people that need it most. Here is a list of needed items: Blankets, Propane Heaters, Winter Jackets, Gloves, Insulated Boots, Thick Winter Socks, Thermals, Tents, Sleeping Bags, Tarps, Hot Hands, Hot Body, Camping Grills, Stoves, Lighter Fluid, Propane Tanks (big and small for heaters & grills) Air Mattresses, Air Pumps, 5 Gallon Buckets, Folding Tables, Pack-N-Play (for babies & toddlers), Non Perishable Food. PLEASE NO WATER! They have lots of water at this point, so water will not be loaded.
On Tuesday, Bartlett Police Department and Shelby County Sheriff’s Office began filling a truck for First Responders, affected by Hurricane Helene. All donated items will go directly to those on the front lines of the recovery efforts in East Tennessee. Donations can be delivered to the Bartlett Police Department located at 3730 Appling Road between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. through Friday October 11. The items we are seeking include the following: Water: bottled by the case or gallon, Flashlights with batteries, Hygiene Products: Toothpaste, Toothbrushes, Deodorant, Bar Soap, Shampoo, Q-tips, Shaving Cream, Shaving Razors and Feminine Hygiene Products.
