Bartlett City Schools announces 2025-2026 Principal and Supervisor of the Year

Bartlett City Schools is excited to announce our 2025-2026 Principal and Supervisor of the Year awards. Help us congratulate Mr. Shannon Abraham our Principal of the Year from Bartlett High School and Mr. Jeff Waller, Operations Director for our school district.

Mr. Abraham earned a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from the University of Tennessee at Martin and has dedicated his career to education. As principal at Bartlett High School, he leads with dedication and energy. Prior to this role, he served as principal at our Bartlett High Ninth Grade Academy and as vice principal at Bartlett High School. With a cumulative experience of nearly twenty-five years, Mr. Abraham began his journey as a science teacher (Biology and Chemistry and has since spent sixteen years at various levels of school administration, including assistant principal, vice principal, and principal.

Mr. Abraham brings extensive experience to his role as principal of Bartlett High School. His dedication to student achievement, the support he provides to teachers and staff, and his effective communication skills make him an excellent fit for the position. Mr. Abraham continues to build strong relationships with students and the community while preparing all students for the opportunities that lie ahead after graduation.

Mr. Waller is a dedicated leader whose decades of service and commitment to excellence have made a lasting impact on Bartlett City Schools. With a career in school facilities and operations that began in 1994 with Shelby County Schools, Jeff has built extensive experience across multiple roles, including HVAC technician, foreman, and Assistant Director of Facilities.

In 2014, Mr. Waller joined BCS as a foreman and has advanced to Operations Supervisor. For the past several years, he has served as Director of Operations, overseeing districtwide maintenance, facilities management, construction projects, and ongoing campus improvements. In this role, Mr. Waller leads diverse teams of skilled professionals and ensures that school environments are safe, efficient, and well-maintained to support student learning.

Jeff is known for his “can-do” attitude and hands-on leadership style. He consistently seeks ways to enhance school facilities and takes pride in delivering high-quality results. Most notably, he played a key role in overseeing the $70 million Bartlett High School renovation project, successfully delivering the project on time and under budget. Through his leadership, expertise, and unwavering commitment to the district, Jeff exemplifies excellence in operations and is a well-deserving recipient of this recognition.
