Baptist Women’s Health Center to celebrate breast cancer survivors during pink event this Friday, October 25th

Baptist Women’s Health Center will celebrate breast cancer survivors at its Pink On & Groove On event. Breast cancer patients and survivors registered to attend are encouraged to wear their favorite pink outfits to win prizes and other giveaways. Other  activities will include a photo booth, a costume contest, light refreshments, and line  dancing led by Keep it Moving Cardio Line Dancers. The day’s events are designed to  improve the mental and physical well-being of survivors through the support &  fellowship of their community. Community partners will be on hand with educational  resources.

BACKGROUND: Baptist Women’s Health Center is the Mid-South’s premier mammography center and  is accredited by the National Accreditation Programs for Breast Centers. Baptist’s comprehensive breast  program includes board-certified, fellowship-trained breast surgeons, breast radiologists, technologists,  and nurse navigators. Baptist’s mobile mammography unit offers grant-funded mammograms to women  who might not otherwise be able to afford screening or diagnostic mammograms.
