Anna “Pody” Willis, 73, of Bartlett TN, passed away in immense grace in Roanoke VA on September 5, 2024. She is survived by her sons (and daughters-in-law) Marshall and Lara Willis of Augusta GA, and Drew and Jessica Willis of Vinton VA; her sister, Marsha Spieth (married to Hugh Cloke) of Silver Spring MD; her grandchildren, Haxton, Dexter, and Adeline and Leah and Paige; a nephew and three nieces; and many loving and faithful friends and extended family members.
Born to Marshall and Georgia Spieth in Chattanooga TN, she grew up in West Hartford CT. She graduated from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville and later the University of Georgia with a degree in special education. After moving to Memphis TN, she taught Kindergarten and 2nd grade until her retirement in 2013. She faithfully attended Bartlett United Methodist Church, and in retirement she found pleasure through her many artistic projects and social activities.
