It started as an idea and grew into a movement for Jerry Sigman. As a devout Christian, Sigman desired to share the “Good News” with the world, and that is where the idea of carrying the cross over his shoulder blossomed, and when he has started a Facebook page that is dedicated to what he is doing and why.
Sigman is traveling all over the MidSouth, walking with an actual cross carried over his shoulder, just as Jesus once did, to spread the word of Christ but with a twist – Sigman walks a path in the shape of a cross, too.
Sigman’s Facebook page is titled, “ThatPickupyourCrossGuy.” He was out, in fact, walking in Bartlett this past Saturday, and sharing the “Good News.” He is pictured near the local Burger King, and the map shows the special route he walked.
