A week before Kickoff Weekend in TSSAA High School Football typically means jamboree night for most teams in the Volunteer State. The 2025 Municipal Schools Football Jamboree was held at the Bartlett Football Stadium with three sessions of 25 minutes featuring the host Bartlett Panthers and guests the Arlington Tigers, Collierville Dragons, Houston Mustangs and Millington Trojans.
The Dragons opened up the night with a 14-0 win over the Tigers using big running plays. Collierville opens the 2025 season Saturday night at home vs. East Nashville Magnet. The Tigers will host the Raleigh-Egypt Pharaohs Friday night. The second session of the jamboree featured the Houston Mustangs outlasting the Bartlett Panthers 7-0. Houston kicks off the 2025 season with a Saturday night showdown at home against the rival Germantown Red Devils. Bartlett took to the field once again at the jamboree for the main event against the Millington Trojans. The final 25 minutes had explosive plays with the Panthers two big touchdowns prevailing over the Trojans’ long TD pass 14-7. Millington opens up its 100th season of TSSAA football with a big celebration Saturday and 7:30 p.m. kickoff at home against the Fairley Bulldogs. Meanwhile the 100th season of Panther Football starts at home Friday night against the MUS Owls.
