Buttercream Bakery in Bartlett operates as a place for guests to enjoy a cup of coffee and fresh baked goods, and local author and Bartlett resident Lynn U. Watson chose it as the perfect place for her March 2 book signing. She has released “The Essence of Humility,” the third volume in her Cinnamah-Brosia Inspirational Collection for Women.
“Each of the three devotionals feature a group of friends gathered at the local Coffee Cottage doing life together and encouraging each other with their own stories and stories of Bible characters,” Watson said. “I immediately saw the perfect connection between the books and Buttercream. I visited Buttercream and enjoyed their friendly welcome and delicious treats, so much like in the book. The books are focused on bringing fresh perspective and deeper significance to the fruits, spices, and plants in the Bible. Fruits and spices fit well with the bakery theme.”
Buttercream Bakery’s owner, Anna Leatherwood, said, “We really want to be open to bringing small businesses together in Bartlett. Hosting events is a win-win for all of us. If you haven’t visited us yet, you’re in for an extra-special treat. Every Saturday is Cinnamon Roll Saturday!”
Meet the author at Buttercream on Saturday, March 2, from 9 a.m. until noon. She will have all three volumes available. “The Essence of Courage (Fruit of the Spirit)”; “The Essence of Joy (Aromas of Jesus’ nativity)”; and “The Essence of Humility (Living and loving like Jesus).”
