Dillenbeck became a lifeblood volunteer over 20 years ago and served as both a member and chairman of the Lifeblood North Council before becoming a member of the BALD Council in 2011. He was elected chairman for the Bartlett-Arlington-Lakeland-Northeast Shelby area in 2017. In addition to his many volunteer accomplishments, Dillenbeck has donated over 14 gallons of blood over the past 30 years.
Pete Dillenbeck was presented the Larry Hilbun Volunteer of the Year Award at Lifeblood’s volunteer appreciation event held recently during the week of Donor Fest. The award was presented by Hilbun himself, another Bartlett resident who previously served as chairman of the BALD Council and also chairman of the Lifeblood Board of Directors.
The recipient was selected from among volunteers in Lifeblood’s 15-county Mid-South area.
