High school football updates

The Bartlett Panthers scorched Oakhaven 28-0 in the first quarter of play Friday night at home and ran away with the game to the tune of 42-6. Running back Marquavis Weaver had 108 yards on only nine carries. D’vocia Walker had a 60-yard interception return and Cole Simonton scored on a fumble recovery. Arlington High School hosted the Sheffield Knights Friday night in what became an abbreviated game with shortened quarters and running clock. Sheffield managed to put 14 points on the board, but it didn't come close to the 56 points awarded to Arlington. Quarterback Tate Kolwyck completed 9 of 13 passes for 189 yards and four touchdowns. Running back Kenny Walker had 64 yards and two touchdowns. Arlington (3-1) will face stiffer competition this week as they travel to White Station.
