Bartlett honored one of its own Tuesday for quick thinking that saved a man’s life.
Quenton Mullins of Bartlett was awarded the Key to the City for displaying exceptional humanitarianism to a fellow citizen when he stopped to provide life saving assistance to AT&T worker, Michael Stephens.
After a tragic accident severed one of Mr. Stephens’ legs, Mr. Mullins quickly applied a tourniquet to slow the loss of blood, Stephens was able to be transported to the hospital and recovered from his injuries.
The city’s press release stated, “Mr. Mullins’ quick thinking and actions during this event most assuredly prevented a fatal tragedy. This heroic display reflects his outstanding character and compassion for his fellow man.”
Bartlett Mayor Keith McDonald commended Mullins for his willingness to go above and beyond in the face of dire circumstances. The mayor also thanked Mullins for a job well done.
