Bartlett students blaze trails in solar car race

Now in its third year, A-Blazing Race is one way to attract students to consider engineering as a career. MLGW sponsored the solar car race as a part of the University of Memphis Engineering Day events and activities on the campus on Oct. 23

MLGW’s A-Blazing Race was a part of the University of Memphis’ Engineering Day on Oct. 23.

Bartlett High scored big in the race, bringing home two of the three first place trophies in the high school division. A four-member team and their Bennington solar car took first place for speed and for best use of materials.

The Kate Bond Middle team placed second in speed with a car made from a Vans shoebox and Pringle cans.
