Honoring 5 slain: Flags at half-staff

Flags at half-staff.
Flags are at half-staff at Veterans Park in Bartlett, as they are across the state, to honor five service members slain in a July 16 shooting rampage in Chattanooga. A 24-year-old shooter opened fire at a recruiting station and then move to a U.S. Navy facility seven miles away, where he killed four Marines and wounded three others. One of the wounded later died. President Barack Obama also ordered White House flags and all flags at federal facilities to half-staff Tuesday to honor the slain service members. Photo by Amanda Swain.
