Bright red poppies are the traditional symbol of veterans’ sacrifices, and members of the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 249 will distribute the crepe-paper blossoms Saturday, May 30, at the Walmart on U.S. 64. Revenue benefits veterans and their families.

Bartlett High cheerleaders to wash cars Saturday

Look for Bartlett High cheerleaders washing cars at Stage Road and Bartlett Boulevard Saturday, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. They’re raising money to go to camp in Florida. Car washes are $5 or a donation to the team.
