It’’s Pickin’’ Picnic time!

Anna Marie Hartman. former news anchor on WMC Channel 5, will be one of the featured performers.

Bartlett’’s free annual outdoor music showcase will be a crowd-pleaser on May 1. This acoustic music celebration will once again take place under the stars on the grassy grounds next to the Bartlett Performing Arts and Convention Center (BPACC) on Appling Lake.

The performances will be 6-10 p.m. Crowds are expected to top 700 if the weather is good, according to BPACC director Ron Jewell.

Featured performers will be:

  • 2 Mule Plow, a Bartlett progressive bluegrass group
  • Brad Birkendahl, featuring Anna Marie Hartman, a former WMC Channel 5 news anchor

Attendees are invited to bring lawn chairs, blankets and picnic meals, or they can buy food from the on-site vendors.
