Bartlett teen among beauties honored

Bartlett native Kayli Webb won the crown of Shelby County’s Outstanding Teen, as one of the competitors at the Miss Memphis and Shelby County pageants last weekend. She is a 16-year-old student at St George’s Independent School. She will also begin preparations for the Tennessee Outstanding Teen Pageant in March and will have “Literacy” as her platform.

A 19-year-old sophomore at Pepperdine University, Madison Snipes of Memphis took the title of 2015 Miss Memphis. Jessica McCullough, a 21-year-old Tipton County native and graduate of Aviation Science from the Community College of Beaver County (Pennsylvania), was named the 2015 Miss Shelby County. Both will begin preparations for the Miss Tennessee Pageant and will spend the year as the city’s ambassadors, making numerous appearances for the city, county, and surrounding areas.

This will be Snipes’s first trip to Jackson to compete for the state title of Miss Tennessee in June 2015. Formerly a Miss Memphis Outstanding Teen, she was also named Tennessee’s Outstanding Teen in 2011.

McCullough, a former Miss Tipton County, will be preparing for her third time on the Miss Tennessee stage.

Their platforms are “Believe to Achieve” for Snipes and“Promoting Music Education” for McCullough.

Lauren Lewis, a 13-year-old student at Riverdale K-8, took the title of 2015 Miss Memphis Princess. She will begin preparations for the Tennessee Outstanding Teen Princess Pageant in March 2015 and will spend the year promoting her platform “Youth Leadership & Volunteerism.”

Each winner will receive scholarship and award money as well as a host of prizes, including donations by J&B Photography, Erika Houston-Free of Hott-E Hair and Makeup, Jamazin Mobile Tanning, Crown Consulting, Joann’s Gowns, fitness by Mary-Marsha Porter Riley, swimsuit training by Kyndall Covington, Austin Carroll Vocal Arts, Lola B Boutique, Our Little Spa of Collierville, Carrabbas of Collierville,Roger Cotton Photography, Steve Austell Photography, and many Memphis area businesses.
