After falling behind early to Arlington on the road, the Lady Panthers were never able to claw their way back into Friday’s contest.
After being outscored 15-5 in the first period, Bartlett matched the Lady Tigers basket for basket in the second.
Down 30-20 to start the second quarter, Bartlett relied on senior Shondria Scruggs to keep the game close. However, Arlington’s Raylin Starks helped her team build the lead to 45-30 before the final quarter. Scruggs finished the game with 16 points. Starks had 17.
Arlington again outscored the Lady Panthers in the final period and won the game 59-40.
Arlington (12-5) will play at Kingsbury Friday night. Bartlett will travel to Millington Central.
