Senior Eric Waddell and freshman Nathan Hoover are among the top ten scorers in 14AAA while juniors Shuntavia Rodgers and Shondria Scruggs are in the top five girls as teams get ready for district play.
Waddell, getting extensive playing time for the first time in his career, is hitting on a 13.3 point per game clip with Hoover just behind at 12.6 per outing ranking them seventh and eighth among district scorers. Senior Deangelo Hall, adding 9.63 points per game over the first 15-game span is ranked 14th in the district.
Rodgers edges out teammate Scruggs 11.44 to 11.43 as the fourth and fifth top scorers in the girls’ scoring race. Rodgers has scored 183 points over 16 games to Scruggs’ 160 in 14 outings.
